90-Day Limited Warranty
Taylortech Care Medical Alert Devices
At Taylortech Care, we stand behind the quality of our medical alert devices and want every customer to feel confident in their purchase.
Warranty Period
Taylortech Care provides a 90-day limited warranty beginning on the device activation date.
The activation date is the date the device is first activated for monitoring service, not necessarily the date the device was purchased, ordered, or delivered.
What Is Covered
During the 90-day warranty period, Taylortech Care warrants that the medical alert device will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential and personal use.
Covered issues may include:
- Device failure under normal use
- Defective buttons or controls
- Charging-related defects
- Internal hardware failure
- Speaker or microphone failure
- Cellular or communication hardware failure caused by a device defect
- Battery failure determined to be the result of a manufacturing defect
If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, Taylortech Care may, at its discretion:
- Repair the device
- Replace the device with the same or a comparable model
- Provide another appropriate remedy
Replacement devices may be new or professionally refurbished.
What Is Not Covered
The limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Accidental damage
- Drops, impacts, crushing, or physical abuse
- Water damage beyond the device's stated water-resistance rating
- Submersion unless the device is specifically rated for submersion
- Fire, flood, lightning, or other environmental damage
- Improper charging equipment
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Misuse or neglect
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect device operation
- Normal wear and tear
- Lost or stolen devices
- Damage caused by pets or other external factors
- Cellular network outages or coverage limitations
- Internet or Wi-Fi problems
- Third-party equipment or services
- Failure to follow the device's operating instructions
The warranty also does not guarantee that fall detection will detect every fall or that cellular/location services will be available in every location.
Batteries
Rechargeable batteries naturally lose capacity over time.
Battery degradation caused by normal use is not considered a manufacturing defect.
A battery that fails because of a verified defect within the 90-day warranty period may be covered.
Monitoring Service
This warranty applies to eligible hardware only.
Monitoring services, cellular service, location services, Text to Locate, fall detection services, emergency response services, and other subscription-based features are governed by the customer's applicable service agreement and are not covered by this hardware warranty.

Returns and Replacement Devices
If Taylortech Care authorizes a warranty return, the original device may be required to be returned.
Customers should not send equipment back without first receiving return authorization.
Failure to return a replaced device when requested may result in a replacement charge.
Replacement equipment does not restart the original 90-day warranty period. The replacement remains covered for the remainder of the original warranty period unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Shipping
Taylortech Care will determine whether shipping charges associated with an approved warranty claim are covered.
Expedited shipping or special delivery services may require an additional charge.
Important Medical Alert Notice
Taylortech Care medical alert products are designed to assist users in requesting help.
No medical alert system can guarantee that assistance will always be available or that every emergency, fall, or medical event will be detected.
Device operation may depend on factors outside Taylortech Care's control, including:
- Cellular network availability
- GPS or location-service availability
- Device charging
- Proper device use
- Environmental conditions
- Monitoring-center communications
- Emergency-service availability
Customers should continue to follow the advice of their healthcare providers and should not rely on a medical alert device as a substitute for appropriate medical care.
Limitation of Warranty
To the extent permitted by applicable law, this limited warranty is the exclusive hardware warranty provided by Taylortech Care.
Any implied warranties that cannot legally be excluded are limited to the duration required by applicable law.
Nothing in this warranty is intended to eliminate or restrict rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable federal, state, or local consumer-protection laws.
